Customer Reviews about QuickCare

  • Have taken our kids here several times in the evenings. They get us in fast and the care has been spot on. Cheap billing after insurance, same as normal doctor and not emergency room rates. Bonus is that they are affiliated with DCOL and medical records are available from and to our normal doctors within the network.

My 80 year old mother-in-law went to Quick Care last Wednesday, June 21, and again on Friday, June 23, for a back and hip pain due to some lifting of boxes. On Wednesday a steroid shot was given and no X-rays or further examination. The steroid shot did not help and she returned on Friday where the doctor seemingly impatient peppered her with questions without giving her time to respond and was rude when she did not answer fast enough. She knew she was slow to answer but she was in pain. In addition no X-rays or further testing was done and she was given steroid pills to take. Lastly she was told that she would be referred to Dr. Chow. On Monday, june26, upon calling Dr Chow's office we learned there was no referral sent. Having parents that were both doctors I understand the hectic pace and frustration of trying diagnose a problem without enough information; however, this is an elderly lady doing her best to remember times and dates while in extreme pain. So much pain that this very active 80 year old has been made immobile. She went to Quick Care upon her internal medicine physician's referral. He referred her there as both his practice and Quick Care are associated to the same hospital system. She has been before and had positive things to say about their service; however, now she will not return. Now that there are so many places one can go to for urgent care we will choose elsewhere and I will recommend elsewhere. The elsewhere we are currently at is the ER Of another local hospital being examined and waiting on X-ray results which should have been done in first place. Being in ministry I understand at times it can be difficult dealing with people and any kind of pain. I also recognize that we all can have bad days; however, the lack of professional/customer care shown my 80 year old mother-in-law will keep us from returning but not keep us from sharing her experience with others.

I'm not thrilled. Took my daughter there today, Saturday, for infected ingrown toenail, she needs an antibiotic and they said they don't see kids on weekends. How ridiculous is that? Insurance recommends that clinic for weekends for copay/coverage reasons, but yet they won't see her! Now I have to go to ER and pay $250 copay, or other urgent care and pay $75 copay. We just moved to Texas and can't get her into a pediatrician for months, so she doesn't have a regular doctor either. Ugh, I'm just annoyed. I wish I had known that BEFORE I drove her there.
